Wow! It's been a long, long time since I did a blog post! I'm blowing the dust out of the corners and stopping in to say hi! How have you been? This summer has flown by! I traveled in June and July but was home for all of August which was nice.
My husband and I did several bike rides, starting with a bike tour of Buffalo. It was fun and since then we've been riding on the city streets a lot, rather than just on trails. Buffalo is pretty flat which is good for me since I don't do hills. LOL
There has been a lot of kitty cat snuggles. I think they've liked having me home. We started letting them outside now and then during the day, so they make their wishes very vocal when they want to go out.
I love going out on my back porch most mornings for my devotions and planning the day. It's just delightful!
We've had family picnics at my parents' home and at our house. It was great to see my brother who lives in Ohio and to have Brandon home.
Brandon finished his ten year career in the Army and we went down to help him move out of his house and up to Buffalo for the month of July.
In August he moved back to Pittsburgh, where he's going to college and re-enlisted in the Army Reserves. I got to go down for his swearing in. LOL - the other enlistees look like they are 15 years old!
I'm glad he'll still be three hours away while he's in college for the next few years.
I went to Florida twice to visit Jeremy and Becca and my grandbaby. You'll have to come to class to see photos!
We were supposed to go to Florida last weekend but they had to evacuate since it seemed like Hurricane Dorian was headed straight towards them. We had to cancel our trip, which was super disappointing (tears) but I'm glad everything turned out fine for them. My heart breaks for the people in the Bahamas though. So devastating!
I spent most of August working feverishly on my new classes for the fall. I know I always say that I love my classes (otherwise, why should I expect you to, if I don't!) but I really think these are some of my best. I'm teaching a class in Greece this week to the gals on my retreat on the island of Syros... I will have just a few extra kits. You can email me if you would like one and I'll let you know when I'll list them in my online store (which is closed for now while I'm traveling.) I love the navy blue album that it is in!
In two weeks, I'll be teaching two of the new classes in Rome, Italy, at the shop, Immaginelab. There are just a few spots left for those classes. The information is here: Debby Schuh Classes: Roma.
In October I'll be meeting a group of ladies for another adventure in Paris (can't wait!) and then in November, I'll be teaching the new classes in the US. The first weekend of November is a day of classes in Cupertino, California, in the San Jose area. That information is HERE: Debby Schuh Classes: Cupertino.
The next weekend, I'll be at Whim So Doodle in St. Petersburg, Florida, with these three classes, and the weekend after that, I'll be at Scrap Shack Texas near Houston with the same three classes. All the information can be found on the stores' websites. (Scroll down on the Scrap Shack website.) There are lots of photos and the descriptions on my Classes website HERE.
It's been very busy, ordering all the product for the kits, designing the classes, writing instructions, assembling class kits, doing the Keynote presentations... and now I'm ready to go! If you can't make it to a class in person, you can always order kits from one of these places and have them shipped to you. I'd rather see you in person though! Lots more fun!
I'm at the airport today, waiting for my flight to Rome, where I'll drop off my class kits at my hotel there and then fly on to Athens to meet my group there on Wednesday, and then our Greek adventure begins! I always share photos on Facebook and Instagram, if you want to keep up in real time. I hope to get back to blogging this fall! Stay tuned!
I’m looking forward to the pictures. I wish I could come take some of the classes. But, I am tied down for now with Mom’s health issues and the accompanying bills. She has turned the corner and doing better but it has been a long haul and not over yet. In the meantime’s me, I will enjoy “traveling” with you by pictures and written descriptions.
