The most inspirational booth at the trade show Creativation/CHA is always the Tim Holtz Ideology Advantus booth. Tim with his helpers and designers take awesome vintage pieces and display them with amazing samples that have been made by very talented designers. I love to just stand and look at them closely, taking in all the little details.
The booth had a girly side and a masculine side, but when I got home and looked at my photos I realized that I only had photos of the feminine side and the samples there - what a surprise! :)
You can click on any photo to make it larger and enjoy the details, too.
The beautiful sample board for the Assemblage jewelry pieces...
And the darling display of clothes in the fabric booth...
I forgot to get a photo of new Ranger products, but did take a picture of the sample Tim made with his new Resist Spray that he sprayed over a stencil and then embossed. The resist has a really cool texture (and I love the pink!)
In the next post I'll share the Ideology products that you'll find in my new classes!
A new company at the show came all the way from South Africa! My friends, Glenda and Lyn's company, Penelope Dee, features beautiful collections of papers and embellishments. I'm so, so happy for them and for all the enthusiasm from scrapbook stores for these new collections. If you would like to see these papers in your local scrapbook store, they can be ordered wholesale through Notions distributor. I think scrapbook.com is going to carry Penelope Dee, so you can order it there, too.
I didn't take many people pictures this year - just two in fact! I got to meet Renee, the owner of a fabulous scrapbook store - Vintage in KC near Kansas City, Kansas. Hopefully I'll be teaching there soon. We think my classes would be a great fit there!
I also got to meet Molly, who works for Becky Higgins. Molly's story inspired my weight loss over the last few months, so I was so excited to meet her and tell her in person! I don't follow exactly what she does for her way of eating, but her success was and is so inspirational to me.
Next post, I'll share photos of actual products that I brought home and what I'll be using in the next weeks as I design my new classes. Time to get to work!!
If you missed part 1, you can read that HERE.
There is always so much to see in Tim's booth. They do such intricate work and there are so many little details. I really want to see the Assemblage jewelry up close. I love the children's clothes in the fabric area. So cute
Penelope Dee looks like a great collection. I can see there are things I will want to buy once it is available.
I can't wait to see what you are going to do with this year's products. YOu always come up with such interesting and useful albums.
