Taking a break from the South Africa report (I have soo many photos to sort through!) to share a few pictures from the last couple days... the adventure never ends! I'm in New York City for three days because I bought a ticket a few months ago for $9 each way on UsAirways, thinking that for that price, if I didn't use the ticket, I wouldn't be out much. Well, I couldn't resist a trip to my favorite city even if it it's not so great in the pouring rain! The rain delayed the plane for a couple hours yesterday so I almost missed going to the taping of the David Letterman show that I got a ticket for. They said I had to be there by 2pm and my plane landed at LaGuardia at 1pm. I called and they said to bring my luggage to the theater... I just made it!
It was fun! I thought David was funny and personable, and it's always interesting to see behind the scenes! Katherine Heigl was the main guest... I wasn't so impressed with her. She is beautiful though. The other guest was the Asian guy from Lost who is now on Hawaii five-o. I liked him much better.
I warmed up with some coffee at Starbucks nearby and liked the sign across the street on the Times Square Church... a good reminder!
I spent the day today shopping and then tonight I saw Promises, Promises on Broadway with Sean Hayes (from Will and Grace) and Kristin Chenowith. It was a fun play. The music is by Burt Bacharach so it brought back lots of memories with songs like "I'll never fall in love again" and "I'll say a little prayer for you" and Promises, Promises." Sean Hayes has a great voice and it was great to hear Kristin sing in person! What an amazing voice in a little person! I went to the stage door after the show to get pictures. When I told Kristin that I know her mom, she said I should have come back stage! She didn't pose for pictures with anyone except me because she "knows" me. :)
That is sooooo cool!! Can't wait for November

I do not think you have to worry about lack of drama for your blog...ever. Love your SA photos. Now looking forward to a kitchen up-date. Do you like the floor?

I love signs like that...they keep you reading. How great for NYers to see Who God really is. When Kristen's mom lived in Buffalo, I met Kristen a few times. She really is sweet in person just like her Mom.
