I am full of stories… aren't we all? I’ve been making a list of the stories I want to tell in writing (with photos, if I have them) about interesting things that have happened over the course of my life. I often get the “not that story again” look from my sons, but now that I’ll have my Story Girl album filled up with all my tales, I’ll know that they are recorded and all in one spot. How fun to look back and see that maybe you led (or lead) a more interesting life than you think!
Using an 8” x 9” Echo Park 2-ring album and Simple Stories page protectors with the beautiful new Flourish collection from Maggie Holmes, we’ll make a book ready for your own favorite stories. As always, the techniques that we use to make our pages interactive and expansive can be applied to any scrapbook that you might make.
I love the colors of this collection - the rich blues and yellows and sage green with pinks, of course - that was inspired by European flower markets. The graphic black and white album and paper designs make it a very versatile book to use for many different purposes.
Your class kit will be filled with papers, an beautiful acetate sheet, stickers, 3-D stickers, ephemera, twenty journaling cards for a start on your stories, the album and page protectors, and beautiful ribbons to match our books.
All kits come with directions with color photos.
Student supply list: Each person needs their own 12" paper trimmer and adhesive (I most frequently use 1/4" and 1/2"wide Scor Pal tape. The 1/4” tape will be very useful in this project.)
Please also bring these helpful tools... scissors, scallop scissors, pencil, ruler, stapler, scoring tool, Crop a Dile punch, 1/4” hole punch (I use the 1/4” We R MemoryKeepers Power Punch), corner rounder punch, powder to make stickers “unsticky,” and foam tape adhesive. If you like a more distressed look, bring a sanding tool, non-stick craft sheet, ink to distress with (I use a pretty dry Ranger Distress Ink pad in the Vintage Photo color), and ink blending tool.
This class will be taught in Lakeland, FL; Las Vegas, NV; Paris, France; Florence, Italy; Houston, TX; San Diego, CA; and Cupertino, CA. See schedule on the side for dates and places.
