I worked feverishly earlier in February to get at least the covers done of each of my six new class projects in order to photograph them and get them out to the stores and events where I would be teaching them. Now they are all completed (Yay!), the directions are written and printed, kits are packed and ready to ship, Keynote class presentations are just about done - it's a great feeling, and I can't wait to share these classes with my students across the US and in France and Italy soon!
I thought I'd share a few "up close" photos of each project, and if you click on the link for the name of each class, you can see in the description where each class is being taught. If you see a store or event near you, I'd love to meet you there, but if not, you can order a kit from a store where I'll be teaching and have it shipped to you. I think I have enough kits to possibly do one more date in mid- August - if you know of a shop or space for classes near you, you can email me at memorybee@msn.com, and we can see if we can make a plan!
First up is what I think of as my "featured" class - the one I'm most in love with (although I love them all!) This is the Chasing Dreams class. You can read more about it HERE. In class we are taking a Tim Holtz Folio and turning it into a Midori-style scrapbook and journal with a little journal and scrapbook pages inside, along with several little "books" to tell your stories in.
I love the color and the vintage wallpaper look of many of the papers in this collection.
The second new class - the cutest one ever, I think! - is the Celebrate Altered Book class. Each person is getting the darling Anne of Green Gables hardcover book in their class kit and then taking it apart and putting it back together with the book pages and the cutest scrapbook paper. When we were packing the class kits, my husband kept commenting over and over about how totally cute these products are! This book isn't just for tea parties but for any celebration - even a celebration of friendships or moms and sisters or anything you can imagine. You can read more about it HERE.
I love the vintage feel of the This is Paradise class! This album is so full of pages - both folded and interactive scrapbook pages, but also several styles of page protector pages, too. It's a book that will be ready to fill with your tropical and summery photos. You can read more about it HERE.
The fourth new class is this charming Home Sweet Home album. I love the new 7gypsies album that we are filling with pages - both made from scrapbook paper and from the vintage printed pages that come in the book (80 pages!) This class project is perfect for those who are looking for a class that isn't so "pink" and a little more masculine. There's only one touch of pink in it.:) I plan to use it for photos of my home and garden, although it could be a travel book - or just anything you want it to be. You'll have a whole set of Thicker letters to change the title to anything you could want! You can read more about this class HERE.
I've revamped my earlier My Story Book class and am using the same product but in a different format for this adorable mini book. The 6x6" album is filled with page protectors that each teach a different technique to use to alter your scrapbook page protectors to add more photos to your mini albums. This class is only going to be taught in Paris at Version Scrap in April and at my day of workshops in Rome, Italy, in May. I've linked each event to read more about those classes.
One more new class called Gather Memories that will be taught in Brescia, Italy, at Hobby di Carta, on May 20. (They are having trouble with their website right now, but you can call and sign up at +39 030 768 9797.) I'll be posting more photos of the insides of this Midori-style scrapbook soon.
Whew! It's been a whirlwind and am so thankful for the inspiration to find new things to create and to help others tell their stories in creative ways!
I hope to see you somewhere on my journeys and catch up and make something together!
I have several goodie boxes for sale in my online store - I've stuffed boxes full of my extra products and cleaned out almost all my 7gypsies product samples and Jenni Bowlin goodies - it's quite a haul! I've listed sixteen boxes in the shop - have fun shopping! There are some great things there and a terrific value for the money. Thank you!
SO excited to see the classes you are doing at CraftFusion. Wish you were doing the Anne of Green Gables book there too. I really like them all. WooHoo! ALready let CraftFusion know Susan and I want seats.
