I started this blog post while I was traveling yesterday and didn't get a chance to finish and publish it, so here we are - just a little behind the scenes stuff - a peek into my pretty boring life when I am home! :)
Much of my time is spent getting ready for upcoming classes by receiving and checking in new products for class kits and packing the kits, getting ready to ship them to the stores and events where I'll be teaching. This kit is for the Home Sweet Home class that will debut overseas at Version Scrap in Paris in April and then debut in the US just north of Chicago at Hannah's the last weekend in April. I love this collection of products - especially the new 7gypsies journal that we are making the project in!
The boys are always entertaining! This time Buddy was laying on top of Beau, who was trying to sleep. Buddy was taking turns washing himself and Beau's face. Look how happy Beau looks! :)
I had the "fun" of going to the dentist three times in the last couple weeks to get a crown replaced on a tooth that I broke biting a candy heart - I won't be eating those anymore!
I switched my summer closet and my winter closet, purging a ton of stuff again, since it won't be winter (I hope) by the time I get back to Buffalo in mid-April. I did an embarrassing post about it HERE when I did a "super purge". We live in an older house with small closets, so I can't keep everything in one closet. Here's my "winter" closet - Mostly black, I see. The shelf holds a few sweaters and too many scarves!
My "summer" closet is much more colorful! I mostly wear dresses in the spring and summer - I find them easy to just throw on and cooler on hot days.
I ended up with two large garbage bags of things I just didn't wear or "love" anymore (remember the "Does it bring joy?" method of Konmari?) These were passed along to someone who will love having them.
Another pile went to the consignment shop to sell (I take my things to Peddlar's in Williamsville.) Six bags went to charity and a few things were set aside to sell on ebay next winter. It feels soo good - I feel like I have a closet of things I'm excited to wear now.
I've done a little shopping, filling in some holes in my closet and came across these super cute shoes at Old Navy. I think they look much more expensive than they were and they're even pretty comfortable with padding on the bottom. I think they look like something I would make with my scallop scissors and punches in a class!
Another thing I wanted to share (I already showed this photo on Instagram and Facebook) is this kit I ordered from Dayspring - Illustrated Faith. I've really stopped buying kits because I found that I was collecting them faster than I could use them, but I loved the color and words of this kit and will get a lot of use with it in my Bible and journaling and devotions. Isn't it pretty?! I love that washi tape that says "strong and courageous".
My spring travel season has started! I'm only home a few days between now and the middle of June, so I've got lots of adventures and classes coming up. I looking forward to seeing so many friends literally around the world in the next couple months! This weekend I'm teaching three new classes at Whim So Doodle in St. Petersburg, Florida - the class samples are in the store if you're nearby and want to check them out. It's not too late to sign up - I always send extra kits!
I'm enjoying a little time with my parents before then! I think this is the longest we've gone without seeing each other in recent years (from early November until now.) Of course our first stop after I arrived was the Goodwill Bargain Barn. What a dump! It gets worse every time I go there, but it's still fun to look. This time I found some paper plates that I needed for class supplies and a pretty scarf. My purchase came to 4 cents. Really! I only had a credit card, so my mom paid for me. LOL. I'm not sure how or why it was so cheap - they weighed the scarf to pay per pound, so that must be why. My deal of the day!
We're off to the beach today! Time for a little sun and vitamin D. Have a great day! xoxo
