The day is finally here - I'm returning to South Africa today!! I really can't hardly believe it. Dave and I went two years in a row back in 2010 and 2011, and I didn't dare to think that I would ever get to go again. I'm so, so thankful for this opportunity to teach at the SA's International Scrapbook Convention again. I'm so grateful to Glenda for the invitation and to Ruby Rock-It, an Australian scrapbook company, for sponsoring my classes. They have been so incredibly generous with supplying the products for 475 students and giving me this opportunity to teach for them. These two people, Warren and Joanna Baxter, the owners of Ruby Rock-It, are the nicest people ever - I'm thrilled to help bring their products to South Africa!
This afternoon I'm flying from Buffalo to Chicago (wrong direction!) and then from Chicago to London (8 hours) arriving tomorrow morning and then tomorrow night I fly from London to Cape Town (11 hours!) I have a ten hour layover in London and haven't decided yet if I'm going to leave the airport. I'll be back there on my way home so I don't feel pressure to go into the city, but ten hours is a LONG time! I might head to Windsor, which I understand is easy to do. Any advice?
I have some butterflies since I'm traveling by myself and traveling overseas on American and British Airways for the first time instead of my trusty USAirways and South African Airways that I went on before. Packing is a challenge as always since I'll be in several different climates and situations (and of course I have to be prepared for everything! :) LOL) and want to take just one suitcase.
I'll be posting on Instagram (you can follow me at debbyschuh) and on Facebook and hopefully will be blogging along the way. I can't wait to share this amazing country with you again - I love the people and the gorgeous country.
Pray for me!! :) Thanks!!
