Popping in really quick to let everyone know that I haven't disappeared! I just don't have an internet connection in my room and even if I did, I really don't have time to upload pictures and post right now - our schedule is so full and overflowing with the most amazing moments and activities. I am so afraid that I will never be able to convey how special this is and all the sights and smells and experiences that have been just what I've needed to recharge. We had a quick hour tonight after returning from our cooking class so I thought I'd post a few pictures quickly - I'll share much more later!
Last Saturday we arrived here at Bichi Borghesi for the La Dolce Vita retreat planned and hosted by Carolyn Peeler and Terri Brush - not one detail has been overlooked - it is all exquisite!
Our apartment is on the second floor of this building - built in the early part of the 17th century.
The views are amazing, the grounds are amazing, all the roses everywhere are amazing - it's too much to describe!
We have wandered up and down and all around the estate.
We spent the day on Sunday in Siena at the antique market - one of the largest in Italy - and found some great treasures to use in the travel book that we are making in Carolyn's class.
We've toured the estate, including the family church that is so beautiful inside...
We had our first class with Carolyn, working on the covers of our travel journals. Every person's looks so different! I love mine!! :)
Today we had a cooking class with a top chef from Tuscany in the most beautiful surroundings - it was magical! I sat next to the Count - who is a real Count - and loved hearing his stories going back to 1000AD when the palazzo was built.
I'll be back with many, many more pictures soon!! xxxooo
