Last December when we were in San Francisco with Jeremy and Becca we stopped in a camera shop to browse for awhile. The man who helped us had the coolest case on his camera - it made his iPhone look like a vintage Leica camera! When I found out that it actually helped his phone look and act more like a camera and wasn't just a "prop" case, I added it to my Christmas list. Being the good husband that he is, Dave got me one for Christmas, I thought I'd share it with you!
It is the GIZMON Camera Design Case Cover For Apple iPhone5 GIZMON iCA5 BLACK 15003 - Can you tell that is an official Amazon link? :) It comes with two different "pretend" lenses for the front, depending on the look you want (and if you want it to easily fit in your purse or pocket.)
Here is the other "lens"...
All the buttons, speakers, and charging opening are still exposed and workable with the case on, except the mute button (you can still lower the ringer volume to the lowest level) and you can't use the flash on the camera with this cover on. The thing I like, besides the fact that it just looks cool, is that the top two little silver buttons are both clickable by using the volume buttons on the phone to take a picture like you would with a real camera. (You can still touch the camera button on your phone if you prefer.)
Here's a look at the top...
Here's a look at the profile of each "lens"...
I prefer the flatter profile so that I can slip it into my purse more easily.
They also make a camera cover, so you can hang it around your neck like a camera, and interchangeable lenses.
What do you think? Kind of cool?
Have a great day - hope everyone is staying warm and dry and safe!
