Another December here again? How does a year fly by so quickly? I envy people who are posting that their Christmas shopping is done - I never know what to get people, but I know it always comes together in the end, so I refuse to get stressed out about it (I think.) I know I don't need anything, so the list for myself is very short - so short that it doesn't have anything on it yet!
My December started at four o'clock this morning when I got up to take Brandon to the airport to go back to Virginia and his work at Ft. Myer. I loved having him home as always but wasn't too sad to say goodbye, knowing that he'll be back home in just a little over three weeks for Christmas. We celebrated Thanksgiving with our friends and "almost" family, the Russells. I'm so thankful that they include us in their family day!
Kelli used kraft paper as a runner on the table and provided crayons for us to write our thankful lists right on the table. We had lots of laughs playing games and then headed home to Skype with Jeremy and Rebecca in California. Jeremy was a surprise with his "no shave November" look! We're debating whether he's a rabbi, Joseph in the Christmas play, or someone from the middle east...
They are all crazy - we laughed so hard at their antics - I got some great videos! :)
The cat was hilarious - he was "talking" to the computer - kind of meowing/growling inside for a long time - at least five minutes! He never stays in one place that long. It was like he was having a conversation with Jeremy and Becca! So funny.
Brandon and I had lots of Starbucks time - time I treasure!
I'll be back with more of our adventure in New York City - as usual I'll be posting everyday in December for my online daily journal. Thanks for reading! :)
