It's been great to be home! One of the things that I knew I was facing as soon as I got home was some dental surgery - crown lengthening on a tooth so there is room for the crown I need on my root canal tooth. I am such a baby when it comes to any dental procedures, so I got myself all psyched up (and medicated up) but when I got there, they had mistakenly scheduled me for just a consultation, not the actual surgery. The dentist didn't have an assistant there to help him, so he couldn't do it, and I have to go back next week. Ugh!! It was disappointing but I know there is a reason for everything, so I'm trusting that I will one of the people who recover quickly and will feel great in time for my upcoming retreat!
You know I have fallen in love with Texas Hill Country and Lori"s (the owner of Timesless Menagerie) country property (I told her it needs a name so I don't have to keep saying that long explanation!) I stood outside on the porch the other morning in my pjs and welled-up with tears, feeling so thankful for the blessing of the peace and quiet and beauty. It is good for the soul!
The goats always crack me up - they just spend their days in a little pack moving from spot to spot, munching away at the grass. I think they are pretty excited when someone shows up and they check you out carefully!
When Lori told me that she got two donkeys, I didn't really know what to think, but they are so cute - kind of like big dogs. They are curious, too, but just check you out and then wander off.
I always feel a little bad when I close the gate - sorry, guys!
Perfect weather for a little walk. One morning I woke up to find a blanket of fog around the house - it was beautiful and a little eerie!
We decided to have the class in the barn where we'll be having the retreat. It was perfect! We moved the tables together so everyone could see the screen.
I'll be back there in just a couple weeks - I'm so excited (and have a few little butterflies) about the retreat! Tons of supplies for the our kits have been rolling in, along with fun stuff that is being sent for the goodie bags. There are still spots left for both weeks of the retreat, and we'd love for YOU to join us! (If I had planned just one week for the retreat we would be over-filled, but since I planned two separate weekends, we still have room to add a few people.) We will be sharing and creating and learning more about "what's in our buckets" - plus shopping! You can read all about it and get the sign up information on the retreat blog HERE. I know that the perfect groups will be coming together each of the weekends - it is going to be a very special time!
