Howdy from deep in Texas Hill Country! I'm enjoying the absolute quiet (except the occasional bleeting goat) - and peacefulness of this awesome place.
Yesterday I arrived at our retreat venue (Lori's country property) in a drenching rainstorm to spend a couple days working on the retreat details and teaching in Fredericksburg at Timeless Menagerie on Thursday night. The storm quickly passed by, and I was greeted by her two new sweet little donkeys... (Some people get a new cat or dog - Lori gets a donkey! :)
They just fit with the atmosphere out here!
Last night the sun was going down and I noticed a "glow" outside. I think they call it the "golden hour." This photo hasn't been edited at all - that is the actual color - so beautiful!
I can't wait for everyone at the retreat weekends to experience this special place. (There is still room in both weekends. You can find out more and sign up by reading HERE. I'm so excited about all the neat things we have in store for everyone!)
I've had a wonderful few days teaching in Oklahoma City and in Waxahachie. Everyone is so sweet and encouraging and ready to work/play in class!
Last weekend I fell in love with Paper Crown! I knew it would be just my kind of place!
Cindy has such a knack for display - even scrapbook products that I'd seen before seemed fresh and new in her beautiful vignettes.
Cindy and Jackie went above and beyond to make our weekend perfect! (Jackie teaches amazing classes at the store.) How sweet are the name tags that Jackie made for everyone!
I love the cookies with my initials! I felt like royalty! :)
I met so many lovely gals! I feel like I have a whole new set of friends!
Thank you all! I can't wait to return!
Sunday I flew from Oklahoma City to Dallas for classes at The Crafty Scrapper. I don't usually teach on a Sunday and Monday, so I appreciate Carolyn and everyone there for having me and coming to class on a busy weekend!
Of course, I have to have my favorite diet cherry limeade from Sonic! Gena and Carolyn are so much fun! I know why people love that store and why Carolyn and The Crafty Scrapper have been successful for so long - she loves her customers and provides ALL the latest products for them.
I shared lots of pictures from my last visit HERE... I didn't take as many this time but I love it just the same! Thank you all for being so kind and enthusiastic! Love, love, love these Texas girls!!!
Time to get to work! Of course, I can't stop thinking of this day in history - twelve years ago our world changed forever. My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims' and rescuers' families that were affected by the trajedy of 9/11. May God bless them all.
