Believe it or not, I am actually kind of shy and sometimes self-conscious - funny, since I can get up and teach hundreds of people! For example, at the last trade show in January and again at the show in July, the Scotch brand booth (you know - Scotch tape) hired a man to do caricatures for the attendees. It is just to attract attention to the booth and make people stop and take a look at the product. I really wanted to get a caricature done but I am way too self-conscious to sit there and have people watch me pose. Silly, I know!
On the last day of the show the place was pretty deserted, and there was only one other person in line that I didn't know, so I thought it was my chance to get a caricature done with no one around.
He starts with the eyes...
Of course, wouldn't you know that the minute I sat down - an audience appeared!
Good thing it was good friends (Tim, Mario, and Mario's son Joe) who wanted their pictures done too! Mario was kind enough to take pictures of me getting my picture done. Thanks, Mario! :)
I'm not too sure about what I'm holding in my cheek in the drawing!
The artist is really is amazing - I think he does capture your face - in a cartoony kind of way!
Here's the finished portrait - should I hang it in the living room?
Thanks, guys, for egging me on! I want to see their pictures now!
