Monday in Paris:
I was up early in Lyon and got all packed up to catch the TGV (the high speed train) to Paris. The two hour ride sped by - literally - at about 150+ miles per hour! I arrived at the Gare de Lyon train station and the minute I stepped out of the station I felt the thrill of being in Paris once again. There is just something about this city that I can't get enough of!
I checked into my hotel, checked out the view and the sky from my window - not sure if the sun will shine or the rain will fall - luckily it was pretty nice all day. No need for the umbrella!
I decided to spend the day in the St. Germain area of the city, so I hopped on the Metro and got off near one of my favorite stores: Le Bon Marche. I especially like the stationery and the mercerie (haberdashery) departments - the store is just lovely!
I love the park in front of it too! How charming is the little carousel?!
I browsed through Le Grand Epicerie - the food part of Bon Marche. I am always overwhelmed in this store. They have the most amazing variety of fabulous looking foods! Of course, the only thing I bought was in this aisle... Can you guess??
Haribo in hand, I wandered along the street, venturing into a store here and there. How fabulous is the inside of the Hermes store???
I went to a little gift shop called Magna Carta that had some cute notebooks and things.
I love the look of this store - The Conran Shop - although I didn't go in.
I went up and down streets, enjoying the window shopping. I had a lovely lunch at Le Pain Quotiden which I posted pictures of on Facebook. My walking eventually took me to Saint Sulpice. So beautiful!
I love the light when the sun is setting and the lights are coming on...
I found my favorite gelato store and got the pistachio which tastes just like the nut - very fresh!
I also found the scooter I want!
My day ended with a coffee at a sidewalk table at the historic Cafe de Flore and some people-watching.
It was a great day in an enchanting city!
I love to have a day to just wander. Wish I could have wandered with you. Looks like some great places and that gelato looks yummy. I want a scooter too and that one would fit just right.

Pink Carousel, pink scooter, probably pink candies...I see a theme emerging! If I wear pink can I come with you next time? :)
It is so beautiful! xo

I myself have had lunch here at this wonderful sidewalk cafe. I had the salami and Swiss sandwhich! It's a great place to people watch!
Have fun Debby, I envy you!
