I loved my time with Jeremy and Rebecca in Northern California during the week (Pinkberry visits at Santana Row especially!) It goes too quick though! Soon it was time to head back to Southern California for a weekend of classes in San Diego at Paper Tales - tough to say goodbye but happy to see so many good friends down south!
Michelle picked me up at the airport and we enjoyed a yummy lunch and the sunshine at a restaurant on the water - check out the views and the food I enjoyed! This was the soup, salad, and sandwich special - it was as good as it looks!
That evening we headed to the store for class - it was my first time seeing Paper Tales since the store expanded and doubled in size! It's still as charming and cozy as before, just with more elbow room and space for more goodies!
Doesn't it look inviting?! I love my welcome banner with the sweet little bee!
We had a very full house for the classes!
The new classroom space was perfect for showing my class presentations - I especially like the layout hanging there with my "boyfriend" Matthew Crowley! :)
I'm so grateful to Michelle and everyone at Paper Tales (Julie, Randi, Karen, Danielle, and Kailie) for all they did to help out and make me and the students feel so welcome. I'm also so, so thankful for the students who take my classes - many I've known for years and some I met for the first time - you are such a blessing to me! I know that several ladies drove a long way and sacrificed to be there - thank you, thank you for blessing me and hope that those blessings come back to you!
Michelle and I were talking this morning about how much we treasure the friendships we've made through scrapbooking. Who would think that a love of paper and crafting and pretty things would bring us together with people from all around the world and give us so many varied, interesting friends. We are all so blessed!! I am a lucky lady - I go home tonight with an overflowing heart - so grateful for friendship, creativity, encouragement, smiles, and laughter...
and great Mexican food! (Me and my cheese crisp last night! :)
Great photos! I'm "stealing" them! Miss you room mate!

The classes were great, until next time when you are in Arizona!

I'm am so glad you get to see the kids often because of your travels. The food and view look wonderful. I love the expanded Paper Tales. It's decorated so well. Makes you want to explore. It's great you had such a good turnout. Maybe I need to try a trip to SD and Paper Tales the next time you are there. Need to get to the classes here in AZ too.
