How do you like my new friend, Mr. Mod Podge? I got another section of the show floor done today but still spent a lot of time just talking and visiting! I guess making those connections are a huge part of the show but I'm feeling like I need to focus more tomorrow.
One of the cutest things I saw today was Brenda Walton's new dies with Sissix! How darling are these shoes and tea cups??
It was great to see Karin and Celine from France who I teach with in Paris!
My friend Pam was helping in the Sissix booth so we got to catch up too!
She's an amazing artist and "doodler" and will be teaching a class in February at French General here in Los Angeles.
I really liked Allison Krefts new collections with Webster's Pages (above.)
I also liked some of the Carta Bella papers (above.)
I liked this Fancy Pants collection and it was great to catch up with Jodi!
I also liked Teresa Collin's new Paris collection... (my Paris students may find it in their class kits!) and Claudine Hellmuth's new stencils.
Tim Holtz's new configuraion box is so cool! I'll have more pictures of his new product tomorrow.
It was so nice to see Nic Howard from New Zealand (and Paula Cheney) - we were all in South Africa together.
In the evening we went to French General for their Sunday Soiree. Kaari Meng had a lovely dinner for us and Nancy Soriano, who used to be the editor of Country Living magazine for many years, gave a little talk about having a creative business.
It was fun to catch up with Lisa Fairbanks and Peggy Lucas! And I made a new friend who is a photographer and stylist, Sunny Hendrickson.
It was a fun day... with more tomorrow! What did you see that you like today? :)
It all looks great and again I don't know how you pick. I especially like the Brenda Walton dies and Tim's stuff. I think it is wonderful that you get to see all your industry friends and people you have worked with. Have fun today.
