I'm at the airport again (I love the festive decorations!) and flying off to Chicago for just two days - one class tonight at Creative Cuts and Crafts and two tommorrow and then back home tomorrow night - it's good to be back home quick at this time of year!
Meanwhile just a little more about our trip to New York - our weekend officially begins on Saturday morning at Rockefeller Center where we take lots of photos!
This picture of the ladies trying to get a photo of the towering skyscraper cracks me up! How low can they get??
We made a spur of the moment decision to go to the Top of the Rock (the top of Rockefeller Center.) It was a gorgeous day and the views were spectacular!
Then we were off up 5th Avenue to take in the decorations and windows that make the city sparkle!
The Henri Bendel windows were fun! I especially liked the manaquin on the right - her dress is made of cupcake liners! In the second photo below the dress is made from strips of film.
Of course, I had to have my annual picture taken with the Abercrombie cutie!
The Bergdorf Goodman windows weren't ready yet (although I saw them on the following Tuesday and didn't even take pictures - I didn't think they were as spectacular as usual.) But of course, the toy soldiers were in front of FAO Schwartz...
Central Park was golden with the leaves still on many of the trees...
It's a tradition to get a yummy waffle from the vendor cart on the edge of the park... so good!
The Barney's windows featured Mickey and Minnie Mouse in a fantasy fashion show - I thought it was cute!
Later that afternoon I ran down to Tinsel Trading Company for my class and to say a quick hello to Tim and Mario who were in town for the weekend. How fun to catch up with them there!
That evening we had a wonderful time at Tinsel! It is a dream to have the store to ourselves and have time to just browse and shop and visit. The ladies got a huge kit to make a keepsake New York City album but most took it home to work on. Dinner was fabulous too!
I discovered that I talk a lot with my hands after looking at the pictures! :)
A huge thanks to Marica for her hospitality! Can't wait to do it again next year!
Gifts so far today ~
No snow or anything to delay my flight to Chicago in a little while.
I got a lot done yesterday - thank you for all your prayers!
An exit row seat on my United flight - I never know if United will help me out with a better seat or not
My husband who helps me pack kits, takes care of a ton of garbage and boxes, packs the kits to ship, takes them to Fed Ex, and gets up early for these airport runs - he's my people!
For coffee!
Have a gift-filled day!
Enjoy Chicago. Stay safe and well. Love the pictures of NYC. I want to go to Tinsel Trading. Looks like a really neat place.

We went to Tinsel Trading on our last visit - but I also found out it was next to the National Headquarters for Girl Scouts so we visited them too.

Debby: Will miss you at classes this weekend. Recovering from foot surgery and I'm not up and about yet. Have fun. Enjoy the little time you're in Chicago. Merry Christmas, Donna O

Debby, I am not sure how you offer the positions for the trip next year, but I would REALLY be interested in joining you. Put me on your list?
