I haven't turned on the TV yet today - just working around the house, all the time whispering a prayer for the families in Newtown. Life goes on for us but for them, it will never be the same.
I'm wrestling with my thoughts... peace on earth, unspeakable evil, Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection, heaven, hope, comfort and joy...
I think of Mary who knew the joy of giving birth to God's Son but also the terrible loss of that son. I think of the families who lost their sons when Herod killed all the baby boys under two years old in the attempt to kill Jesus even as a baby. (Matt. 2:16) Evil is not new or even worse today, I think. We need a Savior as much as ever before. I will celebrate Jesus' birth this Christmas with a new appreciation of God's gift.
Here's some happy pictures of my decorations this year!
Mr. Kitty sleeps away - talk about peace! :)
I'm busily getting ready for another trip - the last one of the year - to Florida! We'll spend few days at Disney and at my parent's house and hope to get some time to relax at the beach. I'm hoping to not work at all (except for my class tomorrow at Whim So Doodle) except to update my blog each day.

Debby, I agree with you so much. We do need a Savior. I'm so thankful for Jesus.
Love the decorations.
