Just a quick post from the Philadelphia airport as I make my way to Lyon, France, to teach at Version Scrap this weekend. It's been a crazy couple of weeks... I'd say it will probably be one of the most memorable of my life in terms of significant events! I've been posting some pictures and updates on Facebook... it's quidker and easier when one's mind is spinning!
In the last two weeks we've welcomed Brandon and Alicia home from Kuwait and said a sad goodbye again as they returned. Actually I wasn't as awfully sad as usual since they should be home in about four months.
Of course, we had our Starbucks time!
Although it's really hard to see them return to such a miserable place, I'm thankful that they have each other and that I wasn't sending them to Afghanistan like many moms do.
The other even huger event is that Jeremy got an engineering job in San Jose, California and is moving there NEXT WEEK!! I'm so happy for him and so thankful for the opportunity, BUT he is leaving while I am still out of town! We had to say our goodbyes at the airport this morning as he saw ME off! It will be very difficult to not be there with him to help him get ready and make arrangements (a place to live, a car, how to get out there, etc.) but I am trusting that God knows just what he needs and what I need and has directed me and him all along in the timing of all this.
The other BIG event is that Jeremy and Rebecca got engaged over the weekend and will be getting married this summer! She is leaving this week also to return to her mom in North Carolina, so I had to say goodbye to her too! I couldn't be happier and more thankful for her and that God brought the two of them together.
Love this picture! We all win!! It's all good.
You can imagine all the emotions I have gone through! I appreciate all the prayers and well-wishes that I've gotten... it has been needed for sure!
I'll be back with a post next week when I return from France! Au revoir!
