It's done! I've got the class for France designed and ready to go... Love the mix of American Crafts Amy Tangerine product, October Afternoon, and Crate Paper collections!
My bags are packed, some presents are wrapped, lots of things checked off my list and now I'm ready to head to Florida for a week. Looking forward to sunshine and blue skies and time with my parents!
We still haven't heard from Brandon... just trusting that all is well. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers!
I had a little "help" with my work today... well, maybe a nonchalant obsever would be more like it!
I actually got a whole album designed today! Now I just need to photograph it and finish writing the description and then I'll be sending it off to be posted on the Version Scrap website for my classes in Lyon, France, in March. I'll post a peek here too!
No word yet from Brandon in Kuwait... I assume he's there but it takes a couple days to get settled and get access to the internet. I'm so, so thankful for everyone's encouragement and prayers. Keep it up!! :)
After a day working at home, it was extra special to have dinner with Jeremy and Rebecca at Bravo!
We love her and are so thankful that God brought her into our lives and of course into Jeremy's life! Lots to be thankful for!!
I had my last conversation on Facebook with Brandon from Iraq. It was sweet... I just hope he doesn't forget to get Iraqi sand to bring me!

Our church has been doing something interesting the last 3 weeks... with a series called "On the Road to Bethlehem," four area pastors have "traded" pulpits and gone on the road to the other churches along with their worship bands, taking turns preaching at each other's churches. Our church is non-denominational as is one other, one is Wesleyan, and one is an African-American church. I love the idea of it and am so thankful that there is this great sense of unity in the "church." I'm sure this kind of thing wouldn't have happened a few years ago, just like I'm pretty sure heaven won't have people from just one denomination, so I think it's pretty cool when people on earth act like they like each other even if they don't agree on every little thing!
After church we went to my niece Audrey's 4th birthday party. She's the sweetie that is the subject of some of my favorite pictures ever...
It's the first time I was in town for her birthday, so it was great to be able to celebrate with family! They get big so fast!
Do you see what Santa (I mean the mailman) brought me today? Even the packaging is darling! I LOVE the little bluebird that Cath Kidston has as her motif this Christmas! They recently had a free shipping offer, so I took advantage of it to order a few little things!

I ordered this scrapbook, not knowing the size or structure... turns out it's about 9x9" with wire binding. I'm not sure what I'll use it for... maybe one of my trips to England? A pocket holds some stickers and other goodies!
My Christmas decorating is finished! I added the vintage felt garland that I got at Goodwill in October to the fireplace, but first I took off the scary reindeer from each end!
The rest of the day was spent working on my classes for Lyon, France, in March... my deadline is next week! Yikes!
We had our first snowfall overnight... I think this is the latest ever! The forecast was for up to a foot of lake effect snow, but we'll take this little bit to start with.
A little snowfall didn't keep Connie, Kelli, and I from getting together for a cozy lunch at Gertie's in Clarence Center. It's so nice to catch up with friends over a delicious meal! ( Doesn't my hummus look amazing?!)
When I got home, I finished up most of my Christmas decorating. I love putting out pretty things and all the happy memories that go with them! I love my bottlebrush tree forest...
You might remember these sweet little figurines I got at the Goodwill Bargain Barn in Florida earlier this year that spelled NOEL. Well, the N and the E broke when I shipped them home, so now I'm left with the O and the L. I decided to put the out anyway 'cause didn't the angels say "Lo, I bring you good tidings of great joy"? Also, it could be short for Lois... Lo... my mom... maybe someday I'll find another N and E!
Today my people worked on packing up and shipping the kits that have been purchased from my online kit store. Oh, wait... I am my people! :) This batch is done, the Mini is loaded up, and gone to the post office along with packages for Brandon and Alicia. Hopefully they'll get them close to Christmas!
I've never been one for bumper stickers and such but we proudly display the 1st Calvary emblem and the Blue Star Mother's flag. It's a flag to display when your child is deployed during a time of war. I'll look forward to the day I take it down! I'll take my yellow ribbon down then too.
Today was a day at the mall... time to start my Christmas shopping! I stopped at Starbucks to get a coffee and along came my friend Connie (we had just messaged about getting together later in the week this morning) and then a few minutes later another friend came by who recently moved to Houston... Elaine! What a small world! It was so nice to catch up with them! I'm so mad that I didn't think to take a picture, and I even had my camera in my purse!
I did get a picture at Michael's. I decided that it's time to put a yellow ribbon around our front tree for our soldiers! It will stay up until they arrive home safe and sound!

Our tree is up and decorated thanks to help from Rebecca and Jeremy... oh to be young and in love! :) She was so sweet about our special ornaments like Jeremy's Baby's First Christmas ornament... she even admired his Christmas pictures through the years.
We are loving having Rebecca around this year... she brings so much happiness and laughter to our home! Much needed since I'm really missing Brandon and Alicia this year! It's the first year ever without him! (photo from one year ago today.)
