It has been an amazing month, so I have to start my recap of the adventure with a bunch of HUGE thank yous to the people that made it all possible...
First to Glenda for her vision to bring inspiration and instructors from around the world to the delegates of South Africa through the SA International Scrapbook Convention. She works year-round to organize and facilitate this fabulous event and I'm so thrilled to have been a part of it. Glenda and her husband Gary are superb hosts to us and have given us a love for their country and people... I hope to return again someday... thank you, thank you for the opportunity to teach at such a wonderful event!
It wouldn't be possible for me to teach at an event like this if it weren't for the companies that so, so generously sponsor the class! Pink Paislee went above and beyond to provide a fantastic kit of product for each student... it was a privilege to teach with their gorgeous products! Thank you isn't enough to show my appreciation to Barry and Rebecca from Pink Paislee for their generousity! We used products from their Sweetness collection to make a beautiful album... now that the class is done, I can't wait to use the album for my own pictures!
Another huge thank you to Fancy Pants Designs for providing the album that we filled. The students loved it (especially that the pages were self-adhesive!) Thank you also to J Creations and May Arts for providing the beautiful flowers, butterflies, and ribbon that provided the perfect finishing touch to the album.
An event of this magnitude could never be possible without the volunteers that work long hours packing all the kits, moving things from room to room, helping every student, and smiling through it all! You are amazing... thank you for all your help and friendship and love!
Thank you too to all the students (or delegates, as they call them there). You were so kind and worked so hard to complete your albums! Thank you for making me feel so welcome!
A big thank you goes to my fellow teachers and travelers! Lots more pictures of them to come! and lastly to my husband, who hauls my suitcases and bags around for me... and makes it incredibly easier to do my job. (And thank you to the enthusiastic fans that gave us their Springbok rugby team shirts to wear to show our loyalty as they pursue the World Cup!)
My heart is filled with gratitude to all these people and to God for providing more than I could ask or imagine!

what a fantastic event!!

I think it is so wonderful that you were able to go to SA and teach at this event. I think it would be great to do something like that and be able to meet such nice people so far across the sea. I'm glad you have a great time. God is good.

We loved having you here, you are a great teacher (we still make the mini album from last year in my group of friends). I loved the pink Paislee papers, it is not so readily avaiable here and loved to used it in real life.
