We had a great visit with Brandon and Alicia this weekend and now I'm trying to get to El Paso for classes tomorrow and Wednesday at Pizazz! and Dave is trying to get home but our flight in Waco was canceled today so we're at the hotel the airline put us up in and will try again tomorrow. I hope and pray I get there since my class starts at 1pm!
If you read my blog regularly you know that I love to shop and do all kinds of girly things. Well, this weekend I was a good sport and went along with the boys (and Alicia) to the range to shoot some guns. I will do anything to be together!!! :) Do you think it's my new image? It was actually a lot of fun!
I came down with some kind of bug during the night before Easter so I didn't get up and around until time for a late dinner. Alicia is such a good cook... Brandon is very fortunate... and she prepared a delicious holiday ham dinner. I wish I could have enjoyed it more!
After dinner we did our traditional "hide the Nerd boxes" hide and seek... (can you see the Nerd box in the flowers?)
It's hard to say goodbye! We'll see them again for 2 weeks early this summer and then they'll be deploying and not know when they'll return. I can't go there yet... just so thankful for this time together!!
(saying goodbye at Starbucks... about the 10th trip there in 4 days!!)

I love all the pictures..almost makes me feel I was there! You look so 'natural' shooting that gun!!! haha!

So glad you got to spend time with Brandon. I don't know about you and the guns, though. You look better surrounded by pretty papers! Have a great week and hope you are feeling better. Donna O

Love all the pictures and a small glimpse into the life of a military Mom. THANK YOU for your sacrifice!! Please know it doesn't go un-noticed.
Love the pic of you shooting guns with your son. It's what a good Mom does, we embrace who our kids are and take interest in what they like. Thanks for sharing
