A happy Mother's day!

I hope everyone had a good mother's day! I think it's a really good day to honor moms but a really hard day for many. My thoughts and prayers were with them, too. I'm so thankful for my mom, even though we weren't together to celebrate, and for my boys. I love being their mother! I tried to cherish every moment as much as possible when they were little and now enjoy our time together as adults. My husband does a really good job of making me feel very appreciated as mom, too, so that's nice!
I loved having the boys home from college for the weekend for me. After church we went out to dinner, then to the art gallery to take pictures, and then to Starbucks with Brandon for our traditional time together.
The only bummer...actually big BUMMER...is that I dropped my Canon G9 on the cement at the art gallery. Thankfully the screen or lens didn't break but the front of the camera is bent and needs to be repaired before I take it anywhere. I'm going to NYC this weekend, and now I won't have a small camera to take and will have to lug around my big Nikon. Oh well...an expensive mistake!

Nice looking family, Debby, and you look really small between them ;) Sorry about your cam. Just think of the fab pics you'll get with your bigger camera! I've heard that an Optech neck strap makes a world of difference on the bigger cams (I need to order me one!)

Sorry about your camera Debby, that's a shame :(

What a nice picture of you and your boys! Glad you had a nice Mother's Day!!

smiles,

Catching up on blog reading - your son Jeremy (the photography critic) HAS to love the photo you took at By Design - where you are taking a picture of the big mirror as your reflection is in the mirror - SO COOL!

Isn't By Design AWESOME? I wish New Orleans was closer to Houston - I would shop there all the time! I have to settle for sporadic trips. Looks like everyone had fun!

Hope you have a great time in NYC -- just act like you belong behind that big camera :)!

I love this photo, such a great one of the three of you. I am glad you had a lovely Mother's Day. Are you having a lot of rain where you are? We've had tornado watch after tornado watch...
