Well, I officially have a very quiet house! This going to take some getting used to! I keep thinking someone will be home soon or need me to do something. I know someday it will seem strange when they do come home but for now I'm all mixed up with my feelings...proud, happy, blessed, sad, nostalgic, weepy, worried...you name it! We delivered Jeremy back to school (actually work, but living at school). It is such a good feeling to have him and Brandon at the same school. They already met for lunch today. When they were younger and fighting like brothers do, I would never have dreamed it would be like this now!
To occupy myself, I did what we scrapbookers do best...I sorted, cleaned out, and reorganized my scrapbook room. It's amazing how putting one little thing away can lead to a huge project. I had saved every weekly class I taught at Michaels over six years...every syllabus, directions, scraps, etc. I sorted that all out and still have one drawer full but emptied out a whole drawer! The picture represents about half the two page layouts I did over those six years. Yikes!
I also borrowed an idea from Judi VanValkinburgh. I found a couple of the clear CD storage boxes at Target and transfered all my clear stamps to CD cases. I love having them all organized in one place. I put my 7gypsies self-inking seal stamps in the other.
Now I have room to get back to work...Happy September!

must have been the weekend for cleaning and organizing! I did the same thing to my scrap space..feels great!

Once you get used to that quiet home life, you will love it, then schools out and they are home for the summer! Thats about how fast that Freshman year goes, then you will be like what happened! Where is my car, the kitchen will be a mess, and so will the bathroom, and you will be looking forward for school to start again!! I know what you mean about the emotions that you are going through though, we all go through them and I'd be worried about you if you didn't say you had your moments. You and the guys in your life have had some wonderful and memorable trips that I am sure your life is very quiet. I have my grandchildren for this week, but I organized some things in the room they sleep in before they got here, but nothing like you did. It looks great, I will have to try that with my stamps. Thanks. It looks good and it feels good once its done, and it makes it so much easier to find things when you need them. Wow, thats a lot of pages for those 6 years! Some I was lucky enough to have done with you. How fast the time goes huh? Have a great day!
