Today is the day set aside to honor scrapbooking. It's a gorgeous day here in Buffalo, so I'm hoping to work out in the yard today and KEEP myself from scrapbooking! I always feel the pull of one more thing that needs to be done or to just play, but today the flower beds are calling me. Anna Griffin is on QVC this afternoon from 3-4pm est with her fabrics and a mega stamp set. I loved working with the fabrics on scrapbook pages and cards! Here's a layout I did with the fabric. I made yo-yo's, cut out the stems and leaves, and even used rub ons on the fabric.
Also, here's a peek at the Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl layout I'm teaching at The Scrapbook Spa on May 29. It can be used as a Mother's Day layout or for any pretty pictures you have! You can call the store at 631-2767 to sign up. I'm teaching it to a private group on Tuesday, so we'd like to get an idea if we need to order more product for the 29th.
(Looking at all these pictures, I realized I used the same pattern for the leaves on both the fabric and paper flowers! Oh, well.)
On a sad note, CK Media has decided to discontinue the CKU Home Study program. This happens sometimes when a company is purchased. The new owners re-evaluate and decide which programs fit into their overall vision, and the Home Study program didn't make the cut. I thought it was a great idea! They have released the unaired classes back to me, so I'm free to teach them; I just need to figure out the best way to do that. I will definitely post about it when I figure it all out.
I've posted a few more teaching dates in the sidebar. I have September free, so if anyone wants me to come to their area, let me know!
Today is Jeremy's 21st birthday! I cannot believe that he is that old. Just a blink ago, he was little! I'm so incredibly proud of him.
