That's how I feel...something is wrong with our internet service in this whole area for the second day and I can't log onto my email account. We were also without electricity for about 4 hours Saturday night and so I did what one does by candlelight...I scrapbooked. I was supposed to be cleaning my scrapbook room but it was a little too dark for that. We found a kerosene lamp in the basement...it was pioneer scrapbooking! I started working on my Germany scrapbook and am happy with the way it's turning out. I'm using a Heidi Swapp clock overlay for defining the structure of the book. I got the main dividers done for each of the places we went on the trip. The photos will go on pages in between.
I spent most of the day Sunday cleaning my scrapbook room to make it camera-worthy for Lisa Scott to come and film. She came this morning with a cameraman. My room hasn't been this clean for a LONG time. I moved the piles of stuff that is in every corner into the bedroom so it wouldn't look too cluttered. Now I don't want to bring the stuff back in! I need to do some serious purging and never, ever again buy a single thing (yea, right!) She interviewed me and is going to use pieces of it on probably three different days next week on Wake Up! on Channel 4 in the 6:30-7am segment. I had the cameraman take our picture but my camera was acting weird so this is the best picture we got.
My room is a tiny kitchen that is attached to our master bedroom. It was an in-law apartment at one time. We gutted the room and installed cupboards from Home Depot and Target. It really makes use of every space! I even made sure there was room for a dorm size fridge in the cupboard under the sink. I ordered the wire display grid and hooks online from a merchandising site because I have to see what I use. I also love the narrow drawers for punches and scissors and stamps. They are 5" sock drawers from a closet system at Home Depot. Here's a few pictures of my space to document this moment of clean!

You can click on a picture to make it bigger if you want! Enjoy the peek! There's another picture of my room in the Memory Makers' book How to Organize Your Scrapbook Workspace on page 21.

I love your Germany scrapbook work - you have the best ideas! And your scraproom is the bomb! One day I hope to have something like that - mine is stuffed into a spare bedroom right now. Jill

Debbie,
I always have problems with the pictures from your blog loading. Do you have them sized too large for the internet or is it me? I really like to see your stuff but usually it does not load the pictures. Thanks.
