In class we are going to do what Debby likes best – take something apart and put it back together again in an unexpected, new, creative way! This time we will take a Tim Holtz Ideology Configuration Book Box completely apart, using the cover to refashion it into a Debby-dori book with elastic Midori-style binding that will hold the two scrapbooks that we will make, and then add the boxes back in to make a clever pocket to hold another fat mini book for recording your hopes and dreams and inspiration or keeping track of the blessings throughout the year… or whatever you’d like to use it for! It’s super cool! The colorful Shine collection from Crate Paper and Tim Holtz products will be the stars of this project – the possibilities are endless for you to use both the scrapbook and the journal components of this unique book.
Student Supply List: Please bring the following items to class… 12” paper trimmer, ruler, scissors, scoring tool, stapler, strong tape adhesive (I use Scor-pal 1/8”, ¼” and 1” most often), foam adhesive, Crop a Dile, Distress Ink (I use a dried out Vintage Photo ink pad), ink blending tool, non-stick craft mat, sanding tool, corner rounder, scallop scissors. Optional supplies: needle and thread, Ranger Distress paint – Antique Linen.
This class will be taught at The Crafty Scrapper in December, at Paper Tales in San Diego in January, and at stores throughout the winter and spring of 2016.
